One Community, Several Different Housing Eras

Southwest is one of Minneapolis's eleven official communities, made up of nine smaller neighborhoods. It sits on the Chain of Lakes and has parks and trails along Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Creek. What's useful for a cleaning service is that the neighborhoods weren't all built at once, and the age of the house changes what we recommend.

• Lynnhurst (older, closer to the lake). Most homes were built between about 1905 and 1930. The neighborhood sits along the southeastern shore of Lake Harriet and Minnehaha Creek. Older homes mean woodwork and trim, so a Deep Cleaning is a good first visit.
• Fulton (between 47th and 54th). West 50th Street runs through it, and the 50th & France shopping district sits on the border with Edina. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom house is $239 for Standard Cleaning.
• Armatage (the southwest corner). Mostly single-family housing, most of it built between 1949 and 1969, with some multifamily buildings. If your lower level is finished, that's a $49 extra.
• Kenny (south of 54th). Kenny has one lake, Grass Lake, and runs down to Highway 62. A three-bedroom, one-bathroom home is $209 for a Standard Cleaning.

Think about what's changed since the last clean. For a house you haven't had cleaned in a while, start with a Deep Cleaning; it adds about an hour for buildup and detail and is priced at $79 over Standard. For a house that's regularly cleaned, go with Standard and a recurring schedule. If a house is empty, Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning adds about two hours. After a remodel, Post-Construction Cleaning is quoted per job.
